AVULSED - Festival Dates Announced For Colombia, 20th Anniversary Album Scrapped

Spanish death metallers AVULSED are gearing up for two show in Colombia. They have been selected to headline this year's edition of the Alatavoz Festival in Medellin on Sunday, October 16th. Other band on the bill include MORBID MACABRE, VITAM ET MORTEM, ETERNAL and WITCHTRAP.
In addition, Avulsed will headline the 10th anniversary of the Bogota Deathfest on October15th alongside with SUPPURATION, VEHEMENTER, CARNAL BLASPHEMY, INBREEDING SICK, HOLY SHIT B.S.E. and ATHANASE GENOCIDE.
As previously reported, a week before that, Avulsed will play the Way Of Darkness Festival in Lichtenfels, Germany. Other bands on the bill include SODOM, ENTOMBED, LEGION OF THE DAMNED and DESTRUCTION. Shows at the 15th Anniversary installment of Portugal's SWR Festival and France's Hellfest are also in planning. Finally, the band has decided to scrap the release of their 20th anniversary CD, Fleshcube, due to "several problems regarding the recording sessions that delayed the whole project, to the point that it was going to be impossible to release it for this year, so… who knows, perhaps for our 25th anniversary!!"
However, this cancellation was taken in a positive way, because this helped the band to concentrate in the songwriting of their upcoming album Ritual Zombi whose recordings are planned for spring/summer 2012.
