British metallers BENEDICTION have issued the following:
"Thanks to the Fans, Reviewers and Nuclear Blast Records...
We were surprised ourselves at what we had created but were more surprised by the response to our album Killing Music!!!
Next year we will have been soiling your ears with our metal for twenty years. Instead of playing it down we are patting ourselves on the back because to have lasted this long - we must have done something right and also done it all on our own terms.
2009 will see us doing another tour and a lot of festivals to celebrate lasting this long and still having interest in us. After that? Who knows? We are not getting any younger and the new bands coming through and holding their hands out for the extreme metal batton is a joy to see and hear and we feel the future is in good hands.
It's amazing the talent out there so go and look for it. Old school? New school? Who gives a fuck just as long as it hits the spot!
Anyway, a big thank you to everyone new and old who has supported us over the years. Without you all, Benediction are NOTHING.
