FrostByte Media has announced their newest signing, Celtic rockers BODH'AKTAN (pronounced Bod Ak Tan, a name inspired by a Gaelic term for fisherman's boots). Fusing elements of traditional Irish, Scottish and Quebecois music with hard rock, country and punk, the kilted men of Bodh'aktan are original musical pirates on a mission to delight the world with their unique brand of raucous party music. Bodh'aktan is set to release their debut full-length album, Against Winds And Tide, in North America on October 8th. Click below to experience Bodh'aktan performing one of their trademarks - an unparalleled cover version of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE's 'Killing In The Name'. The clip was filmed earlier this year at a sold-out show in Quebec City, Canada.

Hailing from the Magdalen Islands, Havre-Saint-Pierre, the Saguenay region of Quebec and even London, Bodh'aktan is comprised of an eclectic bunch of musicians who seamlessly mix the sounds of accordion, bagpipes, violin and flute with distorted electric guitar, bass and drums. Although the band tours most regularly in their native Quebec, they have experienced enormous success in Italy, France, Belgium and Germany, and most recently played to a packed outdoor crowd of nearly 10,000 at the Festival International de Louisiane in Lafayette, LA. Bodh'aktan is Alex Richard (lead vocals, guitar, bouzouki, whistles, bodhran), Alain Barriault (electric guitar, dobro, banjo, vocals), Rob Langlois (bass, vocals), Jonathan Moorman (violin, vocals), Eric Tanguay (accordion, electric guitar, vocals), Eric Gousy (drums, vocals) and Luc Bourgeois (bagpipes, whistles, guitar, vocals).
