Greece's Rockpages has issued an exclusive interview with BRIAN ROBERTSON (THIN LIZZY, MOTÖRHEAD) in which he discusses his first solo album, Diamonds And Dirt, and his overall illustrious career. The following is an excerpt:

Q: What do you have to say about the 2011 Thin Lizzy, the new lineup?

A: "I don’t know… it’s kind of strange lineup really… I mean they are all good players… I haven’t seen them, so I really can’t tell… but from the reports I’ve been getting they are apparently pretty tight… I don’t know what happens when Vivian leaves to go back to DEF LEPPARD… so, I don’t know where it’s going to go from there, but it’s interesting to see."

Q: Would you be interested in playing with them?

A: "Well, they did actually ask me when they started this thing, but the whole premise was that we’d go back to the classic lineup, with me and Scott and, Brian, a bass player, and a singer… but, Darren was coming in on keyboards… and at that point, well, I thought that this wasn’t the classic lineup! So, I wasn’t that interested to play in any case, and by the time they asked me to do it I was so wrapped up in my own album, so I didn’t really have the time to do it anyway. There might be something in the future, I don’t know! They are playing Sweden Rock this year, and me actually I will be playing one song as a guest, which means that we can play Sweden Rock as well! (he laughs) We’ll see."
