BW&BK Exclusive: BRAINSTORM Frontman Comments On Forthcoming Re-Issues Of Band's First Two Albums
January 31, 2007, 17 years ago
In a recent interview with BW&BK;, BRAINSTORM / SYMPHORCE frontman Andy B. Franck commented on the forthcoming re-issues of Brainstorm's first two albums, Hungry and Unholy, featuring original vocalist Markus Jürgens. He explains why he chose not to re-record the vocals for these albums in spite of many fan requests to do so.
"A lot of people asked me to re-record the vocals for those albums but I didn’t do it because it’s a matter of respect for Markus’ work," says Franck "He did a really good job on those two albums, so I don’t see any reason why I should do them over. If fans want to hear me singing a couple of the old tracks they can hear them on the (forthcoming) DVD, because we’ve always played tracks like ‘Voices’ and ‘Here Comes The Pain’. Both CDs will be released as double albums featuring demo tracks from the old, old days as bonus material. There's some really cool stuff on there.”
