CANNIBAL CORPSE Issue Latin America Tour Wrap-Up
August 27, 2007, 17 years ago
Tampa, Florida-based death metallers CANNIBAL CORPSE have issued the following update:
"Since the last time we checked in we have finished off our tour with three very successful concerts in Chile, Argentina and Peru. Chile and Argentina had some of the most vocal audiences we've ever played to (the chanting was just awesome), and the Peru show was our first in that country, and it was really fantastic. There were intense pits in the audience throughout the night, it was a really great response. We also would like to comment about an article on us (written by the Peruvian news agency Andina) that stated we are part of a relief effort for victims of the recent tragic earthquake in Peru. As far as I know, none of the band members knew about this, so I'm not sure where this news agency got their information from. We don't want to take credit for something we did not do, even if it's a very good thing like this. However, this is certainly a noble cause, and of course we would encourage people inside and outside of Peru to contribute to helping the victims of this disaster. In general, despite a few instances of bad luck that we've already covered in previous blogs, the tour was a success. In fact, some of the best shows on the Kill tour were part of this recent Latin American trip. We want to say a huge thank you to all of the fans who came out to the concerts during our Latin American tour, you guys rule.
Now we are gearing up for the Metal Blade Records 25th Anniversary tour, which begins in New Orleans on the 6th of September. The tour features us, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, THE RED CHORD, GOATWHORE, and THE ABSENCE. We are very excited about this lineup, this tour will really wrap up the KILL tour cycle on a high note. Also, we have made a few changes to our set list that our fans should enjoy. We will be bringing back a couple of old songs we haven't played live in a few years, so we're pretty excited about that. See you all at the shows!"
