Louisiana's CATHOLICON has issued the following update:

"Nothing is ever as easy as it seems. We want to apologize for the delays in getting the new record, Of Ages Past, off to press. There have been a lot of last minute negotiations, tweaks, changes, and discussions back and forth regarding packaging and content of the new album and subsequent demos box set DVDR; and, regrettably, an agreement could not be reached that would allow us to go forward as planned.

It is so important to all of us that this album release and 'box set' collection be all that it can be and have everything in it that we have promised it will have; our fans deserve nothing less. Due to some of these things and some last minute additions; we want to let everyone know that the record release is being pushed back by a couple of weeks and is being moved to a different label.

We want to sincerely thank Tim and the Negativity team for the hard work they've put into us over the last four years and two albums; and wish the label the very best. We will announce the new label and release plans in the coming days. Thanks to everyone out there for their interest in the album and for their patience."

Furthermore, Catholicon founding member Blasphyre has resigned from Negativity Records and released the following statement:

"I want to post this brief announcement just so that nothing is ever misconstrued or taken out of context. For the past four years, it has been my pleasure and honor to help (in some small way) my friend (and Catholicon bassist for the last three albums) Tim Bartlett transform his idea of an underground occult/black metal record label from an upstart company into the very real record label that it is today, with worldwide distribution and a thriving online store and an enormous volume of titles.

Twice in my life, I have been in the right place at the right time to see something begin from the ground up and go from an idea into something to be reckoned with. The first of such opportunities was the company I work for; and the second was when we started Negativity Records. It is my regret that I must now leave to focus my many other obligations and duties.

Tim has assembled a fine team to help him and I believe Negativity will continue to grow exponentially as time goes on. We wish Tim the very best of luck in both the label and his future musical endeavors. I never thought I'd have ever been in a band, let alone one that lasted for 15 years, I never thought I'd actually have a job where I got to work in audio; and I definitely never thought that I'd have gotten the chance to be a partner in a real record label. It's been an honor, and an amazing journey! I look forward to what new challenges life brings."
