CLAWFINGER Raise Their Voice Against Child Abuse
August 10, 2007, 17 years ago
Nuclear Blast has issued the following CLAWFINGER update:
"In clear words the song 'Little Baby' from the current album Life Will Kill You is dealing with child abuse. Especially singer Zak Tell is very concerned about that topic as he is the father of a five-year old son.So, Clawfinger have decided to do something more: on September 14th the charity download single 'Little Baby' will come out and sponsor the organisation Hänsel And Gretel, which is dealing with the topic of child abuse.
The band will start a campaign this fall, that will be introduced in a big press conference at the beginning/middle of September.
Since the founding of the organisation in 1997, Hänsel And Gretel is supporting different children's protection projects that offer direct help to abused young people. The organisation fights for a bigger lobby for children and also tries to make families, parents, teachers, police, lawyers and doctors aware of the topic.
Hänsel And Gretel started when the terrible cases of child abuse around the Dutroux-affair in 1996 became transparent."
More details to follow.
