April 28, 2009, 15 years ago
Cliveaid, the organization which was set up in 2004 as a fund-raising event for former IRON MAIDEN drummer Clive Burr, will host its first concert of 2009 on May 30 at The Asylum in Birgmingham, England. The event will feature performances by the following artists: MARSHALL LAW, CLOVENHOOF, ATTICA RAGE, RAVEN VANDELLE, VOODOO JOHNSON, HURON, HEADRUSH.
Doors open at 5:00 PM. Tickets are from www.seetickets.com and are priced at a credit-crunch-busting tenner (£10). Burr is suffering from multiple sclerosis - a disease of unknown cause. The disorder is causing him intermittent numbness and can affect his balance. At present there is no known cure for MS, although he is helping test new drugs in the hope that his body response may contribute to a cure.
