CONFLICTED Sign With Nightmare Records, New Album Due In April
February 13, 2011, 13 years ago
Toronto's CONFLICTED have signed with internationally renowned prog / power metal label Nightmare Records. Their debut album, entitled Never be Tamed, will be released in CD and digital formats on April 12th.
Formed in Toronto, Canada in 2008, Conflicted produce a truly unique, category-defying, genre-expanding modern progressive/power metal sound via a combination of seasoned technical ability, a fervency for volume and a passion for power.
Conflicted is fronted by the astounding four-octave vocals of singer Jason Orton, who consistently delivers pitch-perfect tones rich with both ferocity and emotion. In perfect contrast, neo-classically influenced guitarist Mark Owen possesses a fiery, virtuosic stranglehold on the fretboard. Rounding out Conflicted are the symphonic atmospheres created by Ron de Coste’s masterful keyboard work, the complimentary melodic undertones of bassist John Kolodziej, and the precision percussive onslaught of drummer Corey Stoll.
Conflicted are best known for delivering stunning must-see live performances. Their rising popularity and reputation culminated in them being named Best Metal Band at the 2010 Toronto Independent Music Awards (TIMAs), as well as earning three prominent awards at ImageFM Radio's 2010 Annual Independent Music Awards (Male Vocalist of the Year, Guitarist of the Year and Progressive Single of the Year).
