Copenhagen, Denmark-based death metallers CORPUS MORTALE have issued the following update:

"Album: Home from tour, safely laying Christmas and New Year's Eve behind us we've started rehearsing again. The focus will of course be put into the new material which will eventually be our third album.

The early 2010 recording plan has been broken, instead a good bet will be around April and May. No hurry, no stress, no compromise. We still need to finish off a few songs before we're ready, so nothing has been booked yet.

Local shows: The DK tour is finally taking shape with 6 of the 9 planned shows booked and confirmed. The 3 final shows will be posted ASAP but there's a slight chance one or more will get postponed until May. More on this later.

International shows: It's allways dangerous to spill details about future plans in the early phases. Anyway, tours and shows are in the works for among other places: North America (late 2010), Iceland (summer 2010) as well as some Scandinavian shows. The bookers are found and all the usual bullshit can begin. Info on these shows and tours will of course be posted regularly.

Tour photos: Anyone with photos of us live on stage during the NILE tour (or any other shows as well) please write us. We need your pix. Thanks."

A previous message from the band reads: "We're sad to inform you that Corpus Mortale will NOT be a part of Copenhagen Death Fest Part 1 this April. The reason is quite simple. We booked the gig almost a year in advance and we'd been looking forward to play there - but - the bookers had to move the show from the original dates May 8th and 9th to April 2nd and 3rd. At those dates several members already have commitment in other bands so we were forced to cancel."
