Unfortunately, CRADLE OF FILTH have had to cancel the first date of their South American tour, which was due to take place in Ecuador on Friday night.

Dani Filth has made this statement about the cancellation:

"Everyone involved with the band, and especially the band themselves are deeply distressed over the cancellation of our show in Ecuador this Friday. This is the second time we have had to pull out of a concert in Ecuador (the last cancellation being due to airport closure as we were circling the runway!).

Unfortunately this time has been due to several reasons, including severe weather conditions stranding half the band's crew, deep 'contractual' problems, plus flight-booking f**k-ups. It is a regrettable situation to be in, but unfortunately an impossible one at this particular time to rectify.

Our sincere apologies go out to all the fans we have disappointed by this very well thought out decision, the band feeling even worse about it as we are all stuck in cold, redundant limbo for two days.

As for the rest of our South American tour, all other shows are definitely on, the first being on the twelfth at the Teatro Metropol, in Bogotá, Colombia, this very Sunday. We can't wait, though once again, I'd like to apologise to all our loyal, disappointed fans in Ecuador. We are so pissed off that this has had to happen."

Fans who had bought tickets for the gig should contact the promoter to receive a refund. Click here for details on the rest of the South American tour and the 2011 North American tour.

Dani Filth and guitarist Paul Allender are featured in a new interview conducted by Berlin Metal TV back on October 29th. Check it out below.

Cradle Of Filth recently issued the following update:

"We have been contacted by fans who have wanted to purchase the fans’ edition of Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa using PayPal. Unfortunately the Peaceville store can’t currently accept PayPal payments so we have now made copies available through the Burning Shed eBay store to get 'round this problem. The box sets are all available as ‘Buy It Now’ items so the set costs almost the same buying it this way as it does from Peaceville store (price is £1 higher due to eBay’s fixed shipping costs)."

The fans’ edition comes packaged in a deluxe hard box containing:

* 2CDs – the album plus a disc of bonus tracks and demos (including 'Adest Rosa Secreta Eros', an exclusive track that will not be available on any other edition of the album).

* DVD – the promo video for 'Forgive Me Father (I Have Sinned)' plus a documentary on the making of the video.

* LP sized 64 page hard-back book. The book features hi-quality artwork and photos and a short story based around the album written by Dani. A sneak preview of some of the pages from the book, which will also house the 2CDs and DVD included in the set, is now on the band’s mini-site.

* An exclusive t-shirt available only in this box.

* A stunning limited edition lenticular 3D image of the album cover art, ready for framing.

* Five 8” x 6”photographic prints of members of the band.

*An official certificate of authenticity from the band
