CRIMSON GLORY - Live DVD Featuring Bang Your Head Festival 2011 Performance In Planning
February 8, 2012, 12 years ago
CRIMSON GLORY frontman Todd La Torre has checked in with the following update:
"Listening to our full concert from Bang Your Head Festival 2011 for the first time. Sounds great! We are working on getting all of the footage from this show to release our own full live DVD of this concert. If you thought last year was big for CG, 2012 is going to be even better."As previously reported, Todd recently launched his own official website. The site features news on Todd with regards to his activities with Crimson Glory, as well as his own material, photo galleries, and much more. As a special tribute to his dear friend Matt La Porte, guitarist for JON OLIVA'S PAIN and CIRCLE II CIRCLE, Todd has shared the song they collaborated on together, which was the very song that initiated Matt to introduce him to Crimson Glory.
“Since the unfortunate passing of Matt in April of this year, this song resonates even more to me now than when we did this,” says Todd. “Ironically, this song is written from the viewpoint of a person dying and actually entering the next realm of existence, appropriately named 'The Welcome Experience' . This song was never written for any other reason than to show Matt that I could write lyrics, melodies, and could actually sing.”Todd has also begun working on his own solo material again, which will showcase his writing, singing, drumming, and guitar playing.
“I will likely have a few special cameo appearances on several instruments on my material as well. My own writing has been on the backburner for a while, as the new Crimson Glory album is taking precedence over any other musical endeavors, coupled with the 25th Anniversary tour we did throughout Europe. I have decided to launch my own website as another way to connect with the fans. This gives me a way to also share my own material, and to feel more of a one on one connection with everyone”.
This site will also feature a short series of drumming videos highlighting, his drumming techniques and applications. Todd's new website is very clean cut, concise, informative, and definitely worthy of checking out-
