CROSSBREED Ink Deal With Driven Music Group
July 18, 2008, 16 years ago
Driven Music Group, Inc. has announced that they have signed Florida metal act CROSSBREED to a multi-album deal.
It was one of those shows-a radio show hosted by Tampa's WXTB in early 2000-that landed a Crossbreed demo in the hands of KITTIE, who brought the tape to the attention of their label Artemis Records. They signed a deal soon after, spending the latter part of the year holed up in a New York City studio where they wrote and recorded the songs that would become Synthetic Division. The album went on to sell over 50,000 copies in the United States, while the band continued to tour across the country.
Crossbreed's Frontman James Rietz comments: "Driven Music Group is a great fit for Crossbreed. Mark, Greg and Brian are straight forward guys which is a rare find these days. You don't feel the point of a blade on your back when you're talking to them."
Driven Music Group¹s Mark Nawara comments: "I've been in touch with the band for the past two years and was blown away when I checked them out live in Flint, Michigan at The Machine Shop. We are very excited to finally get started".
The band is currently in the studio in Clearwater finishing up the mix of the new album. The band and Driven Music Group expect a October release date, followed by a US tour.
