Austrian death metallers DARKSIDE have revealed the artwork for the upcoming album, Inferno, scheduled to be released on December 20th by Noisehead Records. The artwork was created by Kewin Miceli, a French artist living in Prague, who has been working for CRADLE OF FILTH, PENDACT, XXXX, SEPULTURA as well as for Disney (Pirates Of The Caribbean video game interface design and matte paintings) and various rock and gothic shops in the Czech Republic.

Inferno will feature 20 tracks. The album is monothematic and features an adaption of the true story of Madeleine de la Palude, a woman living in the 17th century France in times of the inquisition. Being abused by her father’s friend, a priest, she tries to escape by becoming a nun, but this gets her even more into the fangs of the priest.

The story is also an accusation towards monotheistic religions and their archaic rites and practices, now and then.
