Austrian death metallers DARKSIDE have announced their reunion show featuring the classic line-up (1991 - 1999) at Night Of Rock 2010 Festival in Enzesfeld-Lindabrunn, Austria on July 30th.

The band will feature:

Peter Durst - guitars, vocals

Peter Böhm - bass

Robert "Roach" Grögler - drums

Wolf - keyboards, vocals

Keyboardist Wolf comments: "It all started out as an idea of our original drummer Roach. He has been involved in his new outfit TBC over the past couple of years and is also involved with organizing a local festival in his home area. One day he called me up and asked me about my opinion on a possible reunion show of Darkside in the classic line-up. As there wasn't much going with Darkside since the split from our recent drummer and I was in the middle of preparing my own project MARGINALIA I suggested to arrange a meeting with all four of us to see where we stood at that time. I knew that Peter was involved with THE ANTIPRODUCT and our bass player now lives in Slovakia, so I thought, we should give it a chance. We met and agreed on going for it as a single, one-time performance exclusively for this festival. We have had a couple of rehearsals since then and I must say it feels really good to jam with the guys. The old spirit has somehow come back, haha. Since then there have been adresses from various people to book us also for soem other shows but we really want to be this a unique thing. We will play only songs from the first three albums on that show, just up to Evolution. I can't definitely exclude the possibility that Darkside won't be doing anything more or new in this line-up, but I guess time will have to tell..."
