David Lynch Foundation To Honor Producer RICK RUBIN

According to Billboard, legendary SLAYER, METALLICA and BLACK SABBATH producer Rick Rubin will receive the Lifetime of Harmony Award from the David Lynch Foundation through its new performance arts events division, DLF Live.
The event takes place this Thursday, February 27 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles, with proceeds benefitting the David Lynch Foundation's ongoing campaign to bring transcendental meditation programs to at-risk adults and youth around the world. Noted for his directorial work in films (The Elephant Man, Blue Velvet) and television (Twin Peaks), Lynch established the foundation eight years ago. Since then, it has provided scholarships to teach meditation techniques to more than 300,000 including veterans with post-traumatic stress, female survivors of domestic violence and underserved inner-city students.
