King Fowley of DECEASED is featured in a new interview with All Metal Music. An excerpt is available below:

Q: The album Surreal Overdose has been a long time coming. How is that coming along?

King: "It has been four years in the making. Some of that time was dealing with band issues as mentioned, but we've gotten into the headspace we need to create the new record and it's about to be completely written. It's fast/slow/heavy/melodic/weird/simple, it's still 100% deceased music. I am playing drums on the new LP again, which for me will be fun. It’s going to be Mike smith on guitar, Shane Fuegel on guitar, Les Snyder on bass, and me on vocals/drums. We hope to record it in January 2010 and have it out March 2010! We will record at assembly line studios where we did the last record. It will have eight songs on it; some titles are 'The Traumatic', 'Skin Crawling Progress', 'A Doom Laden Aura' and 'Kindred Assembly'. I am proud as hell at what we've created so far! We still have about 1 1/2 songs to go and then it's complete with fine-tuning and a lot more thought after the songs are written. Then it's out on the road a lot in 2010 playing it and the history!"

Q: How will Surreal Overdose differ from your previous albums?

King: "Musically it's still the same band. It’s got all the elements of the band we've become through the years. It’s got our sound and got our own style to it. Shane will be playing guitar on his first LP for us; he will give it his own identity playing wise. I am back on drums for this one, so it will have a little more 'quirkiness' to it drum wise. Hopefully it will be our best-produced record to date. I plan to produce it myself. It may be a little more going on in the mixes then before. Until we are actually in the studio and doing it it's hard to 100% tell you what's going on. You kind of get a new perspective of it all when you get in there, but those are the plans for now!"
