Danish metal band MALRUN is set to release their third album, Two Thrones, on August 29th worldwide via ViciSolum Productions. In relation to the new album and upcoming tour and festival activities, Malrun are looking for an extra lead singer as part of a new, exciting project that the band initiates. This means that you will enter into a close working relationship with Malrun and their lead singer Jacob both on and off the stage.

Since their first album Beauty in Chaos (2010), Malrun have both musically and lyrically explored human duality, particularly the darker sides and paradoxical character of human nature. Once again on Two Thrones, Malrun navigates this musical and lyrical exploration of the cross border between chaos and order. As part of project initiated to take this fundamental theme to the next level, Malrun now seeks a sixth band member, more specifically an extra lead singer.

Since 2011, Malrun have toured Europe five times and plans to continue their touring activities in the future. As such, you will join an already established Danish metal band with not only big dreams but also a realistic vision and the work ethic to reach those dreams. It is thus required that you, as a new band member, participate fully in this work to realize our common dreams and achieve our vision and goals.

About you: You are able to perform Malrun's music live, which includes the ability to sing our songs formidably, both in terms of clean vocals, growling and screaming. Also, you are able to deliver an energetic and convincing live show. You have the capabilities to be a sound and inspiring frontman, not only when playing in front of a 5000-people festival crowd, but also when playing in front of 50 people in Southern Schleswig. In addition, you have the will, ambition, time and dream to break through with Malrun. We have always expected commitment from each other, which makes it vital that you have an inner desire and passion to create and play music. Are you the man for this job as an extra singer?

Earlier this year, Malrun released the new track ‘Justine’, the first single from Two Thrones.

'Justine' is a testimony of the evolvement Malrun has undergone throughout the last two years of European touring with bands such as TREMONTI, EMIL BULLS and others. The band has incorporated the live experiences and the connection with the audience in the writing process, and as a result people will most likely find that Malrun anno 2014 sounds more mature, more massive and aggressive than ever before, yet the band has not forgotten the focus on the melodic aspects which people may relate to. As before the lyrical universe of Malrun has deeper underlying message and centers around the human shadow sides and duality, this time taking inspiration in the bizarre writings of an 18th century French author.
