DEVILDRIVER guitarist Mike Spreitzer recently issued the following update from the road:

"Usually we are supposed to do these blogs at the beginning of a tour, but I figured I would wait until we were at least half way through the tour so that I would have something a little bit more interesting to say. Can I just say that I love the CANCER BATS. They are some of the coolest guys we have ever toured with and they absolutely rule live.

I am very proud to announce that ESP released Signature Series guitars for me and Jeff this year. You can check them out at the ESP Guitars website.

Today we are in Dayton, OH at a place called McGuffy's House of Rock. It's Saturday night and we have a late bus call... something interesting is going to happen tonight. The release of Beast is almost here. Only 17 more days to go. This tour is coming to an end in about a week, we have a little bit of time off and then off to Australia for the Soundwave Festival and a couple of headlining shows. Nothing against the rest of the world, but Australia is my favorite place to tour. I can't wait. We have more tours in the works for after we return from Australia but nothing is confirmed as of yet. We should have some more detailed info for all of you in a few weeks. Stay tuned."

Drummer Kevin Talley (DAATH, SIX FEET UNDER, ex-CHIMAIRA) recently posted the following update via his Twitter account:

"I played in DevilDriver last night here in Chicago 'cause John (Boecklin) got sick. I feel like Josh Freese flying in for a gig with no rehearsals!!!"

No further details on Boecklin's condition. Stay tuned for updates.
