DII Featuring DAN SPITZ Releases “Little Voices” Track In Support Of Children With Autism And Their Families; Video To Premier Tonight
June 16, 2014, 10 years ago
From one of the co-creators of a genre comes another first in musical doorways opened. Dan Spitz (formerly co-writer, co-producer and lead guitarist of Anthrax), a three-time Grammy nominee who has sold 20 million+ albums and has his music playing on Mars alongside Frank Sinatra and The Beatles with NASA, is now playing an extremely rare to be seen or heard Weissenborn Lap Slide Guitar for a cause, for a mission, and for changing all planets’ views on the words “Autism Awareness” through the most powerful way known, music.
The music video premiere for "Little Voices" by the DII Band (also featuring Don Chaffin on vocals), is being touted by the press as “the first Autism anthem song for all generations and genres of music”, will make it's online premier tonight.
Original music, including complete re-makes of some of Dan Spitz's past Anthrax works he has co-written such as "I Am The Law" and "Indians", are available via iTunes this week with a video for "I Am The Law" to be released soon. The physical release of the DII CD and more will hit the masses in August 2014 through Sony Red / MRI Entertainment / Smashmouth Records. In addition to this record, three masterpiece videos directed by Don Chaffin will be released. DII band originals are an emotional walk through relationship areas and everyday life’s struggles and truth.
Dan Spitz explains the lyrical content of "Little Voices", “The unwritten words and bond of love between children on the Autism Spectrum and their parent is something unexplained. It is what the song ‘Little Voices’ conveys in its message. The word Autism is not used at all in the lyrical content just for that reason. It need NOT be said. It just can't be. The words will bring you through an emotional ride so real, no matter who you are, good luck not being touched in some form or fashion.”
Dan adds, “We thank you for your support of DII and look forward to seeing you all live onstage very soon. Make a difference…”

Dan Spitz is a single father to identical twin sons who are both on the Autism spectrum and his life-long goal is to help children and families through these avenues, and to enlighten the public to the word Autism, with zero connection to any organization. A relentless task of work ethic placed upon him and his heart to do so. According to the CDC, as of 2014, 1 in 42 boys born, 1 in 68 children will be on the autism spectrum.
DII is one powerful musical duo. Dan Spitz has put down his electric guitar and reinvented himself as an artist by learning this rare Weissenborn Lap Slide instrument played by few, and mastered by only a handful on the planet. In quiet seclusion and secrecy kept by many helping him achieve his goals, Spitz relentlessly had to un-learn old skills, to acquire a new. With long time musical partner, vocalist Don Chaffin, administering his soulful and heart felt lyrical avenues of execution, the listener will be instantly taken on a journey so familiar of the greatest singers of all time, yet a sound from this duo is of none present, past, or can be duplicated into the future. DII has achieved a non-genre specific musical pathway changing avenue that is unique to them, and a new era of an emotional based musical ride that could make a woman cry or a man feel empowered to achieve.
DII is here to bring global awareness of Autism through music. Please help support the next level of Autism Awareness by supporting DII. Please note: DII has no affiliation with any Autism organization. Simply music with no genre that CAN change many lives…
