Bravewords.com correspondent Deb Rao recently caught up with DOKKEN frontman Don Dokken in Phoenix, AZ following the band's recent jaunt to Japan to play the Loud Park Festival. The interview is available below.

Q: How did the Dokken set go at the Loud Park Festival? I understand that George Lynch joined Dokken onstage on 'Tooth And Nail.' Tell us about the fans reaction to that event.

Don: "Dokken played on the main Ultimate stage in front of 16,000 people. George Lynch joined our guitarist Jon Levin on the song 'Tooth And Nail.' The audience went crazy. Jon and George had this dueling guitar riff going on. It was pretty cool. The magic was there."

Q: Dokken and LYNCH MOB will be performing shows on Thanksgiving weekend at the House Of Blues in Los Angeles and Anaheim. Tell us about those shows.

Don: "Actually we just added another date in San Diego on November 28 at the 4th and B. Then we have the two House of Blues shows on November 27 in Los Angeles, and November 29 in Anaheim. Dokken always does well at the House Of Blues and with the added bill with Lynch Mob it is going to be a great night of music. We are doing three shows Thanksgiving weekend."

Q: Do you have an update on the Greatest Hits release?

Don: "I have one more song to finish, 'Unchain The Night.' The label wanted that song on it. That song hits some high notes. I have been taking my time doing a little each night."

Q: Over twenty-five years and Dokken is still going strong. What was the highlight of releasing your latest studio album Lightning Strikes Again?

Don: "Dokken grew up in the streets in Los Angeles. We paid our dues. I wanted to write Lighting Strikes Again to prove we are still going strong today twenty years later. Songs like 'Heart To Stone', 'Standing On The Outside', and 'Oasis' all have that Dokken signature guitar sound. I would say the accomplishment and highlight for me was to just get it done."

The Dokken / Lynch Mob live schedule is now as follows:

November

27 - House Of Blues - West Hollywood, CA
28 - 4th And B - San Diego, CA
29 - House Of Blues - Anaheim, CA
