DOKKEN has wrapped up a successful string of West Coast US shows including a stop at the 4th & B in San Diego on November 6th where the band played a longer 90-minute set featuring frontman Don Dokken on acoustic guitar performing acoustic versions of 'Into The Fire', 'Alone Again', and 'Breaking The Chains'.

Dokken confirmed to BraveWords.com correspondent Deb Rao at the show that his vocal surgery is scheduled for December 2nd.

"I decided to put a different twist adding an acoustic set at all these shows this weekend," the singer begins. "The acoustic set has proven to be a lot of fun. I threw my voice out four months ago on the SCORPIONS tour. Dokken has been touring non-stop for over two years now. We have played a lot of interesting places including Bulgaria, Norway, and Spain. My claim to fame was in 1982 singing on the Scorpions' Blackout album (Klaus Meine had to undergo surgery on his vocal cords and demos of the material were recorded with Don Dokken as vocalist). I have scheduled December 2nd for my vocal surgery. It is going to take six weeks to heal and I will be working with a vocal coach. I have had 28 good years of performing and hope to have many more after the upcoming vocal surgery."
