DOWN, the New Orleans-based band featuring CORROSION OF CONFORMITY guitarist/vocalist Pepper Keenan, drummer Jimmy Bower (EYEHATEGOD, SUPERJOINT RITUAL guitarist), bassist Rex Brown (ex-PANTERA), guitarist Kirk Windstein (CROWBAR), and vocalist Philip Anselmo (Superjoint Ritual, ex-Pantera) - performed at the Download Festival on Saturday, June 13th, in the UK.
Jimmy Bower has issued the following:
"Our first show in Glasgow was intimate and very loud! For the first show in 6 months, it was pretty good. Few fuckups but that is to be expected... even played 'Nothing In Return' as well, love that song!We hadn't played Download since 2006 and were asked back with even a better time slot (in 2006 we played at 11 AM)... with that said, we jammed hard.
Saw Cassie and crew from the stage and caught their wonderful flag! All in all our set was smooth and fiff-filled!! I'm still amazed that we played, what an honor!
Belfast next."
As previously reported, the band's setlist at Download was as follows: 'Lifer', 'New Orleans Is A Dying Whore', 'Hail The Leaf', 'Lysergik Funeral Procession', 'N.O.D.', 'Underneath Everything', 'Eyes Of The South', 'Stone The Crow', 'Bury Me In Smoke'.
