DOWNSPIRIT Enlist DOMAIN Bassist

German/Swiss blues/metal act DOWNSPIRIT, the new band formed by SYMPHORCE/ex-FREEDOM CALL guitarist Cedric "Cede" Dupont, have issued the following update:
"We wanna welcome Steven Wussow to the Downspirit camp as our definite bass player. He's a great guy, talented musician and a real music lover who fits in perfectly to our puzzle of madness. Some of you might know Steven from German melodic metal band DOMAIN and once again, we are really happy to have him on board! Also we are ready to upload a new demo track this week, so come back soon and have a listen."As previously reported, Downspirit have been working on the pre-production for their upcoming debut album, which is expected to be released in mid 2009. According to a press release, "blending old blues roots with a modern, down-tuned guitar-feel, their songs are a mixture of typical bluesy '80's hard rock and a contemporary metal sound, which also includes some electro-loops here and there."
