Drummer Matt Cameron - "I Will Be Taking 2014 Off From SOUNDGARDEN"
November 15, 2013, 11 years ago
SOUNDGARDEN drummer Matt Cameron will be absent from the band in 2014.
Says Matt: "I will be taking 2014 off from Soundgarden touring due to prior commitments promoting Lightning Bolt with my brothers in PEARL JAM and the desire to have more time at home with my family. I am trying to balance the many twists and turns of my awesome music career.
This is temporary. I am still an active member of Soundgarden. Chris, Ben, Kim and I are in the process of finding the perfect substitute for the upcoming Soundgarden dates in 2014.
Thank you all for listening and the years of support!"
From the depths of the Sub Pop archives comes a reissue of Soundgarden’s thunderous opening salvo, Screaming Life, plus bonus tracks from the Fopp EP and Sub Pop 200 compilation. This reissue marks the first time these tracks will be available digitally, and their first appearance on vinyl since the original, late-80s pressings.
All tracks have been re-mastered for maximum power by Seattle studio wizard and producer of the original Screaming Life and Sub Pop 200 sessions, Jack Endino. The reissue will be released on November 26th. Pre-orders can be placed here.
