Austrian metallers EDENBRIDGE have dropped off the bill for Portugal's Caos Emergente Fest 2009, scheduled for September 11th - 13th in Porto.

Says the band, "Sadly we have to announce that we will not play at the Caos Emergente Festival, Portugal.

The promoter, Big Dog Productions, was not able to provide flight tickets for the band and crew according to the contract.

After numerous mails from the band over more than 2 months concerning the flight tickets, the promoter put off the band until the last week before the festival just to say that now the flight tickets are too expensive for them, which is no wonder when you wait until the last moment.

The proposal from the promoter to fly in the band from Munich instead of Linz according to the contract was logistically not possible for the band to solve in such short time and tickets from Munich would have not been any cheaper.

We would have loved to play for our Portuguese fans."

Acts confirmed for the festival now include: FINNTROLL, SARGEIST, NOVEMBERS DOOM, THE ROTTED, HACRIDE, BEHEMOTH, MALEVOLENT CREATION, DESTRUCTION, MOONSPELL, NAPALM DEATH, ANAAL NATHRAKH, DRACONIAN, VOMITORY, GUT, NOTHNEGAL, GRONIBARD, INNER WISH, AVA INFERI, TEMPLE OF BAAL, HOLOCAUSTO CANIBAL, ABADDON INCARNATE, THE ENDGATE, THE SPEKTRUM, NECRIS DUSTand M.A.C. OF MAD.

Edenbridge recently issued the following studio update:

"Recordings for our seventh studio album have begun last weekend at Wild One Studios in Vienna. Max has hammered his drumtakes on tape respectively hard disc in unbelievable one and a half days and the results are simply fantastic! We will continue with recordings in October. Guitars, basses, vocals and all acoustic instruments like bouzouki, mandolin, Irish fiddle and acoustic guitars will be recorded at Lanvall´s Farpoint Station studio. Already finished are all keyboards, pianos and orchestrations."

Edenbridge's follow-up to 2008's MyEarthDream will see a possible release in May or June 2010.

Some of the songs which will be on the album: 'Brothers On Diamir', 'Skyline´s End', 'Bon Voyage Vagabond', 'Further Afield', 'Come Undone'."

Edenbridge will team up with special guests SERENITY for a headlining tour in September.
