ELVENKING Issue Studio Diary 2008 - Chapter 2: Guitars

Italian metallers ELVENKING have issued the following update:
"Last night (guitarist) Aydan nearly finished all the guitars! All the basic and lead tracks have been recorded expect for one song and for some minor things like electric guitars, a couple of riffs and so on.Everything was extremely smooth and the arrangements sound already incredibly well!
The album is starting to grow up a little bit and the songs are already showing off their potential! Even the re-recorded tunes sound so well at this stage, that the band members are really amazed about them!

Says Ayden, “I have recorded most of the guitars in the album, including leads, arpeggios, melodies etc. There are still a couple of songs to finish and some electric guitars to add (oooh surprise, yes there WILL be also some electric guitars, but just very minor parts, it’s still an acoustic work!).
I have used different guitars, standard acoustic, piezo acoustic and classical ones, in order to find the right mood within the songs. I think we have done some cool arrangements through the songs. Some of them were pretty easy because most of the arrangements will be done with violins, vocals, keys and other instruments, while others needed more guitar work. Now I think that the basis are laid down and everything starts to sound really stimulating! I can’t wait to record the other stuff in order to hear the final result: once again it will something really interesting and maybe controversial… as usual happens in the Elvenking camp!!! Be ready!“
