hot flashes news engine of pain

Dutch thrashers ENGINE OF PAIN check in with the following lineup news:

"Dear Engine Of Pain fans!

We have some news that we want to share with you all. (Vocalist) Nick Hameury will leave Engine Of Pain within a very short period of time. Of course we are very sad and disheartened that he won’t be a part of the band anymore, but on the other hand we are very happy for him that he made his wish come true to build up another and hopefully better life in Spain. Nick gave up his dream a few years ago, but unexpectedly got a chance to apply for a job in Madrid and he will be hired for an unlimited period of time. Congrats Nick, you did it! Please read Nick’s personal statement as written below...

"Dear Dudes and Dudettes!

The time has come for me to move on… In the last few years I have had a fantastic time with Engine of Pain. I’ve been able to work with some great musicians and friends, and to play some amazing gigs. We released some kick-ass thrash metal which I’m really proud of and which I hope will be enjoyed by our fans for many years more.

I finally got the chance to go live and work in Spain, so I will be moving there pretty soon. Sadly this means that I’ll have to quit EoP, but I’m convinced that we’ll have a new brutal thrasher in place behind the mic soon who will take this unique band to a new level. I wish Pat, Mies, Joep and Bastiaan all the best and I’d like to thank y’all for your support in the past and for your EoP support in the future to come! Whenever I’m in Holland I will be checking out any EOP show, so I’ll see you there!

Cheerzz everybody! Nick."

Of course Engine Of Pain will remain, don’t even think about it!! Despite Nick’s departure, our label Lion Music keeps on supporting the band. So many thanks to Lasse Mattson for declaring his faith in Engine Of Pain.

However, it will definitely be a new chapter for Engine Of Pain’s course of life, so on the other hand it’s quite exciting for us as well. The band is already in the process of looking for a new vocalist and we will inform you about any news about that topic ASAP.

For now - All the best!!!

EOP (Maurice, Joep, Bastiaan, Patrick)."
