ETERNAL DESCENT - ESP Launch LTD Graphics Edition Guitar Contest
March 12, 2010, 14 years ago
ETERNAL DESCENT's Llexi Leon officially formed a mutually beneficial strategic alliance with ESP Guitars in October, 2008 and since that time, the mastermind behind Eternal Descent has been on a whirlwind campaign.
With the release of a CD, an EP, a comic book via IDW, and a forthcoming CD in the works with producer Eddie Kramer, Leon, an Incendium Records recording artist and guitarist, has aligned with ESP Guitars to produce three original custom model guitars. These unique guitars, based on LTD's EX, F, and EC models, have custom graphics of the main Eternal Descent comic book characters and feature color-coordinated DiMarzio pickups.
Eternal Descent and ESP Guitars have teamed up for a contest - you win the contest, you pick the guitar! The contest winner can choose either the Lyra, Loki, or Syrian model guitar, all based on the Eternal Descent comic book characters. To enter, follow this link: eternaldescent.com/contest/index.php.
In addition, ESP Guitars has launched an exclusive Eternal Descent web portal/section for the Eternal Descent comic book. Filled with info highlighting the comic book published by IDW with the first issue released on March 31st and 23 subsequent issues, this section will feature art, contests, news as well as anything else Eternal Descent comic book related. The comic book boasts the first ever to feature ESP endorsed guitarists from bands including GOD FORBID, STATIC X, FIREWIND, and ATREYU as characters in comic book issues. To support his expanding career, Eternal Descent/Llexi Leon are covered in the April 2010 issue of Guitar World where Leon talks about his concept for his music and comic book: "I love writing music that creates an atmosphere. Yet at the same time, I'm a big fan of epic films and comics that deal with the whole good-versus-evil theme. So I thought "why not combine the two?", and that's how I came up with Eternal Descent."
Llexi Leon began his own production company, Incendium Records, to release his first concept album Losing Faith and the EP The Phantom of the Opera. This fulfilled Leon's dream of having all Eternal Descent media developed with the highest standards under one roof. Leon recently began recording his third CD release with producer Eddie Kramer (JIMI HENDRIX, LED ZEPPELIN, KISS) at the helm. He has also secured a publishing deal with IDW to release 24 issues of his comic book featuring artists Jason Metcalf, David Rivera, Javier Tartaglia and Joel Chua beginning March 31st.
