As previously reported, Evile are preparing for the release of their new album, Five Serpent's Teeth, and have dedicated one of the new songs to the UK's Bloodstock festival. Fans attending the festival from August 12th - 14th will be among the first people to hear the brand new track, titled 'Centurion', as it will be played through the PA system between bands on the main stage throughout the festival.

Frontman Matt Drake spoke to Bloodstock to explain the meaning behind the new track and why it was dedicated to the UK's favourite all-metal festival. Watch the video below:

Matt Drake comments: "Bloodstock festival has always been good to our little band Evile and we can't thank them enough for the chance they gave us way back in 2006 to headline the unsigned stage, which ultimately put us on course to being able to have a go at some of the things we've done. So when we had recorded the song called 'Centurion', it made us think about Bloodstock - there's just something about that track that made us feel 'Bloodstocky'. It might be the epicness, or the subject matter, or just the sheer 'taking it seriously while not taking it seriously' shamelessness of the song. Maybe all those things! But it made us think about Bloodstock all the same, so we would like to dedicate the song to Bloodstock festival as a thank you for being so good with our rock quartet over the years! Bloodstock is an amazing place; long may it continue!"

Bloodstock's Vicky Gregory has issued the following statement: "Nothing gives us more excitement and pleasure to see the success of Evile; the band stormed through our unsigned competition at Bloodstock and have never looked back! We expect great things from them and, having heard tracks from the new album, they won't disappoint!"

have confirmed dates for a headlining UK tour, as well as two album release shows to celebrate the band's new album, Five Serpent's Teeth.

Evile will be playing at two album release shows in London and Birmingham, plus a special show which will be announced soon, followed by a full trek of the UK.

Lead guitarist Ol Drake comments: "The time is coming for Evile to take to the road once again. Five Serpent's Teeth is out in September so we thought it'd make sense to start off in our home country. The tour kicks off with release celebration shows in London and Birmingham. Can't wait to get out there and start playing all these new songs for you all; they're so much fun to play and we can't wait for you all to have just as much fun while we play them. See you in the pit!"
