Fan-Filmed Footage Of LAMB OF GOD Performing At First Knotfest Show
August 19, 2012, 12 years ago
Fan-filmed footage of LAMB OF GOD performing with newly returned frontman Randy Blythe at SLIPKNOT’s first Knotfest on August 18th, in Somerset, Wisconsin is available. Watch the videos below:
Blythe returned to Lamb Of God and touring duties after being held in custody in the Czech Republic after being arrested on suspicion of manslaughter by Czech police at the Prague airport on Wednesday, June 27th. It is alleged that during a May 24th, 2010 Lamb Of God concert, Blythe pushed a 19-year-old fan, who had climbed onstage, back into the audience. The fan lapsed into a coma and died of a bleeding in the brain fourteen days later.
Although Lamb Of God has cancelled their summer co-headline tour with DETHKLOK, the band agreed to play Knotfest shows on August 17th in Council Bluffs, Iowa and August 18th in Somerset, Wisconsin.
Described as "an apocalyptic underworld where firebreathers, nightmarish creatures on stilts, fire and percussive light, and stunning visuals set the stage for an intoxicating and unforgettably sinister concert experience," Knotfest featured performances from:
SLIPKNOT
LAMB OF GOD
DEFTONES
MACHINE HEAD
SERJ TANKIAN
CANNIBAL CORPSE
THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN
THE URGE
PRONG
GOJIRA
Lamb Of God is currently targeting October 26th as the start date for a US tour. Dates and cities will be released as soon as possible. Randy will be making a public statement discussing his time in Prague and thanking fans worldwide for their support in the next week.
