According to Birminghammail.net, legendary drummer Bev Bevan (THE MOVE, ELO, BLACK SABBATH) has announced he will play an exclusive charity gig in Birmingham to collect his Broad Street star.

The Sparkhill-born rocker will become the 22nd luminary to be inducted into the Broad Street Walk Of Stars hall of fame since its inception four years ago, joining the likes of rock icon OZZY OSBOURNE.

An official presentation of the star will be made when Bevan performs with his current band at the Gatecrasher nightclub in Broad Street on April 28.

A host of special celebrity guests are being lined up to join Bev on stage at the gig. Details are to be confirmed.

Proceeds from ticket sales to the bash will be donated to the Birmingham Mail Charity Fund, formerly the Christmas Tree Fund.

The 66-year-old said: “I am very honoured and proud to receive this star and to be following in the footsteps of some fantastic talent from Birmingham."
