Former JOURNEY vocalist Steve Perry made a rare appearance at Guitar Center's Drum-off this past weekend, and he talked about the reason why - drummer Steve Ferrone (SLASH, ERIC CLAPTON, TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS) - and what he's been up to musically.

"I've just been writing music and seeing what I can find," Perry tells Artisan News. "It's such a new cool world of music when you're mixing electric music and rock like MUSE, IMAGINE DRAGONS. I think it's such a cool new kind of direction."
