Cyclone Empire has announced the signing of German wall-of-sound force, SHAKHTYOR.

Says the label: "Hailing from the beautiful city of Hamburg, Shakhtyor are the newest members of the Cyclone Empire family and we're sure they not only fit in perfectly, but will also blow you away with their massive sound, like they did to us. Their style can be best described as a mixture of doom, stoner, sludge and post-metal played completely instrumental. Although it's quite hard to find fitting comparisons, we can throw in names like NEUROSIS, OMEGA MASSIF, BLACK SABBATH, UFOMAMMUT or even ENTOMBED and ACID BATH! After the miners released their selftitled debut CD in 2012 already on their own, you can expect the official (re-)release of the CD on the 26th of April as a nice digipak and on the 10th of May on vinyl including an exclusive new bonus track... so be prepared for this mighty force to blow you away!"

Says the band: “Frankly speaking, we did not take CE too serious, when they first asked us if we were interested in doing a re-release of our album. Before we had the CD released on our own in April 2012, we had contacted a number of smaller labels, working in the area where we would locate ourselves but without success. The only label being interested in doing a vinyl release literally closed down over night leaving us with the recorded material. However, after a while, CE came back and asked, whether we had taken a decision. They probably saw us quite surprised but yes - we had, of course! It's a great pleasure and honour that our stuff will finally be made available by people believing that we have created something special. Take it as our declaration of love to vinyl that a bonus track will be included on the longplayer which has been recorded especially for this release during our latest sessions in February 13.”
