What's happening with the extend of Hot August Metal?

Hot August Metal Fest, A Deathphonic Black Metal Crusade, previously scheduled to be a one-day affair, has now been expanded to be a two-evening metal fest scheduled for Friday and Saturday, August 24th and 25th. Friday's show will be scheduled for doors to open at 7:00 PM, music at 7:30 and will embrace five time slots. Saturday's show will be scheduled for doors to open at 5:00 PM, music at 5:30 and will embrace seven time slots.

Where will the event take place?

Studio Seven in downtown Seattle, Washington has been the venue selected to host the Hot August Metal Fest inaugural event. Studio Seven is one of the area's premiere rock clubs, specializing in showcasing some of the industry's best local, regional, national and international musical acts.

Which bands are now confirmed? WOLVEN ANCESTRY (from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada), CEREMONIAL CASTINGS (from Battle Ground, Washington, USA), INQUINOK (from Seattle, Washington, USA), VERBAL DECEPTION (from Calgary, Alberta, Canada), NEFASTUS DIES (from Montreal, Quebec, Canada), PANZERFAUS (from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada). When will tickets to the event be available?

Tickets for Hot August Metal will first be able to be purchased beginning April 2007 through TicketsWest and may be limited. Two-evening event pre-sale tickets, for $20.00 USD purchased through April and May, will include one event T-shirt (size XL) per ticket. Event T-shirts will be available only for ticket purchasers during April and May. Event shirts may be claimed upon entry to the venue with the respective tickets and will be validated for receipt of shirt.

How do I get free tickets to Hot August Metal Fest?

For each day of the event, it is anticipated that there will be 25 free passes that will be given out to active duty US and Canadian military and naval personnel to attend the event free of charge. Dictates are as follows: individuals must be active duty US or Canadian armed forces personnel with a valid active duty ID card, individuals must specify his or her desire for either the Friday show or the Saturday show and one show only. This offer will begin April 2, 2007 and will run until 25 Friday passes are requested and validated and 25 Saturday passes are requested and validated. At that time, a notice will be posted on this site indicating that the 50 free passes have been requested, validated and claimed. When requesting his or her free pass to the event, each individual must do so by submitting his or her first and last name, mailing address, a contact phone number, in addition to his or her unit name and address BY E-MAIL to the event's promoter (hotaugustmetal@hotmail.com) to become registered for his or her free pass. This requirement will not be waived under any circumstances. A reply, with a validating number, will be sent by return e-mail to the e-mail address that the request was sent from. On the requested day of the event, to gain admittance to the venue each pass holder must present the return e-mail with validating number, along with his or her valid active duty ID card, properly identifiable, to venue security. A list of each day's pass holders will be on hand at the venue and will be managed by the promoter and venue security, only.
