France’s experimental metallers HYPNO5E have been forced to cancel their Australian tour due to a health problem involving one of the band’s members.

The tour was planned to support the recent release of their second album Acid Mist Tomorrow released in February via Klonosphere/Season of Mist and licensed to Truth Inc. Records for Australia.

According to a press release: “The band extends their sincerest apologies to all the fans and friends hoping to attend this tour and promises to reschedule these shows for a later date.”

The band has released the following statement regarding the cancelation of this tour:

“Due to a health problem of one of the members of the band, Hypno5e was obliged to put back its Australian tour, originally planned from the 10th to the 19th of May 2012. New dates in Australia will soon be re-scheduled and announced.

This cancellation, which comes at the beginning of the Acid Mist Tomorrow tour, lasting until mid-2013, is a real blow for the band and for those who worked for its organization.

Nevertheless, let's meet starting on May 25th for a series of shows in France and we will keep you posted on the dates of the replacement shows for Australia!”

The cancelled tour dates are as follows:

May

11 – Melbourne, Australia - Central Club
12 - Adelaide, Australia - Enigma
15 - Canberra, Australia - The Basement Bar
17 - Gold Coast, Australia - Surfers Paradise
18 - Brisbane, Australia - Jubilee Hotel
19 – Sydney, Australia - Venom Nightclub
