March 2, 2007, 17 years ago
The organic buzz surrounding the release of IN THIS MOMENT’s debut album, Beautiful Tragedy, continues to build, as their track 'Daddy’s Falling Angel' became this week’s most requested song on “The Devil’s Dozen” countdown on Sirius’ Hard Attack channel.
Maria Brink (vocals) and Chris Howorth (guitars) will also be featured guests on this week’s Hard Files, a weekly one-hour aural glimpse into the music and lives of some of your favorite metal bands. Be sure to tune into Hard Attack this Saturday, March 3rd at 3 PM (EST) to check it out.
In This Moment’s debut album’s title track, 'Beautiful Tragedy', also ranked as the third most requested song on “The Pipeline” countdown on Sirius’ Octane channel, which is a further testament to the diversity and strength of the band’s material and another major accomplishment in their burgeoning career.
In This Moment are also this week’s featured band on MTV’s Metal File. Check it out at this location.
The group’s first promotional video for 'Prayers' can now be viewed at their official MySpace page (www.myspace.com/inthismoment). The clip was shot by up-and-coming director Mike Wildt. They are currently at the halfway point of a massive US tour with KITTIE, WALLS OF JERICHO, DEAD TO FALL and 36 CRAZYFISTS, which runs through the end of the month.
Chris Howorth (guitars) checks in with the following report: “We are so thrilled with the success we have had thus far at Sirius and we were extremely excited to land in the top three on Hard Attack for the last four weeks, and then to hit number one is just unbelievable. Sirius is the future of radio and Hard Attack and Octane are the best metal/rock stations out there (Jose, you rule!). We are blessed to be charting on these stations and so thankful to the people voting for us every day.
“The Kittie tour has been an amazing experience on so many levels. First of all, the fans have been coming out to the shows and are filled with energy, so the response has been awesome for all the bands every night. It’s been lots of fun so far, and we’ve made friends with everyone on the tour both bands and crew alike, so it kind of feels like an extended camping trip with a huge family. There are so many down-to-earth, kind and compassionate people in these bands and it’s an absolute pleasure for us to be a part of it.”Additional major U.S. touring plans will be announced soon, and expect the band to remain on the road constantly through the end of the year in addition to performing at a slew of major European festivals.
