According to The Sofia Echo, although there is no news regarding the line-up of this year's Sonisphere Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria, and there is no official confirmation on the IRON MAIDEN website, the Iron Maiden official fan club in Bulgaria has reported that the band is coming to play.
"Iron Maiden are 100 per cent certain to visit the country for the third time in June 21st," a website post said.
The basis for the report is a photograph (below by Major ZAlupnyak) of the band's official tour merchandise with the dates:
Singapore is next on their schedule, on February 15. The band will then play in Indonesia, Australia, South Korea and Japan, before embarking on the Americas leg of the tour, with gigs in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica and the United States before heading to Europe for the summer.
The first single from Iron Maiden's latest album, The Final Frontier, called 'El Dorado' won for Best Metal Performance at The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, which took place in Los Angeles, CA at Staples Center last night (Sunday, February 13th). The band were flying into Singapore on their specially customised Boeing 757 Ed Force One from Moscow yesterday and couldn't attend the ceremony. Jazz vocalist and ceremony host BOBBY MCFERRIN accepted the award on Iron Maiden's behalf.
Singer Bruce Dickinson spoke to Artisan News about the meaning of the track 'El Dorado' recently. Check out the video interview below:
