John 5 previously released the new track, ‘Beat It’, online for download from all good online music retailers.
‘Beat It’ is a cover of the MICHAEL JACKSON classic and was timed to be released around Jacksons’ birthday (August 29th).
Rob Zombie recently issued the following update in regards to his next horror movie, The Lords Of Salem:
"A soundtrack that shreds. Guitar God, John 5 has signed on as the composer of The Lords Of Salem. John totally understands the vibe of the film and is the perfect choice to create the music."
The Lords Of Salem stems from an idea Zombie had several years ago about witches executed in the 17th and 18th centuries who return to Salem, Massachusetts in the present day.
"I grew up in Massachusetts," Zombie says, "so the Salem witch trials and all that was always very prevalent. Even when I was a little kid, you take a school field trip and go to Salem to the witch museums and watch re-enactments of the witch trials. I always found it fascinating, so I started writing an idea about... this group of five witches that were killed back then and have come back to modern day Salem to seek revenge."More info at this location.
