KATAKLYSM Vocalist Comments On Upcoming Tour With CHIMAIRA, TERROR
November 12, 2007, 17 years ago
Having recently returned from a European tour (including a performance at Nuclear Blast’s 20 Year Anniversary Party in Stuttgart, Germany), Maurizio Iacono - vocalist for Canada’s death metal band KATAKLYSM - shares his thoughts on the band’s upcoming slot as direct support for the upcoming tour with CHIMAIRA and TERROR.
"The Kataklysm machine is well-oiled and ready to crush! We are very anxious to start this tour with Chimaira this Wednesday and can’t wait to see all our fans again and start the mayhem that we are known for. Unfortunately, our bass player Stéphane Barbe won’t be able to make this trek because he and his girlfriend are expecting their first baby, but if all goes well, he’ll be rejoining us on stage for the last three shows on the tour in Montreal, Toronto, and Millvale, Pennsylvania. In the meantime, worry not as Francois Mongrain from tech masters MARTYR is filling in on bass and is ready to strike and draw blood with the hyperblasters. We’ve completed a massive new album, Prevail, that should be out by spring 2008. We can’t wait for you to hear it!!! It fires on all cylinders and in all directions and will take no prisoners!!! 2008 will be the Year of The Heartbeast!!! See ya out there you crazy fucks!”
DIVINE HERESY will be on the tour from November 14th - December 8th; THE END will complete the tour from December 9th through the 21st.
Kataklysm continue to hit the road throughout the US and Canada in support of their 2006 release, In The Arms Of Devastation, which has sold over twenty thousand copies in North America.
