KILLING JOKE / NINE INCH NAILS Drummer Martin Atkins Auctioning Drum Session On eBay
May 19, 2008, 16 years ago
KILLING JOKE / NINE INCH NAILS drummer Martin Atkins has started a new eBay auction. Details are below.
"You can hear my drumming on Nine Inch Nails' Wish, Killing Joke's Extremities album, all the PiL albums from 1979-1985, PIGFACE, THE DAMAGE MANUAL, Meg Lee Chin, MINSTRY's In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up, Live, and more. This auction is for a drum track recorded at the Mattress Factory Studio in Chicago and will be delivered to you in .WAV or .AIFF format, a multitrack session with close mics, room mics, etc, with an option of a slammed / saturated track. We'll also send you a stereo mix of the kit, EQ'd and compressed so you can slide this into your track or play around endlessly with the multitrack sessions.Feel free to riff and direct as much as you want - such as 'loads of tom toms you crazy bastard' - 'a Killing Joke feel' - 'a shuffly Nine Inch Nails sweet awesome twisted odd signature' - 'whatever pops into your head, Martin' construction. I'll follow your instructions (after all, you are hiring me), but once my brain is engaged I might also send you a completely different drum track that I'm hearing in my head in addition to the lame-ass track you thought you wanted in the first place. If this gets to be too expensive, you can load up some free loops from the Beat Fetish site (or www.invisiblerecords.com) and have at it - or, you could go to Cakewalk and buy Beat Fetish etc.
I'll even send you the drumsticks I use to record your drum track with.
For more information on our other studio services, please check out our website www.invisiblerecords.com. We'll need a copy of your song (preferably stemmed out with a click track and a bpm) within a week of the auction ending - send us an email with any questions."
