Hollywood, California-based KOTTAK featuring Jimmy Ratchitt, the alter ego of famed SCORPIONS drummer James Kottak, have released the video for their new song, 'Sunset Blvd.', taken from their upcoming new CD, Scream With Me! Directed by Steve Macia, the video can be viewed here.

In other news, Kottack will begin a three week European concert tour on February 2, 2010, at the Marx in Hamburg, Germany, with the popular Swedish band, BLOWSIGHT, in support.

“I saw Blowsight play in Europe when I was out on tour with the Scorpions and I liked them immediately,” states Kottack vocalist and guitarist, Jimmy Ratchitt (the alter ego of long-time Scorpions drummer, James Kottak). Along with Jimmy Ratchitt, Kottack includes Athena (little sis’ of MÖTLEY CRÜE's Tommy Lee) on drums, Johnny Lucas on lead guitar and Price Vernon on bass.

“Musically, I think that Kottack and Blowsight really complement each other so it’s a natural fit for us to do this tour together. And I think that fans of both bands are going love the line-up too!”

The Kottack and Blowsight European tour was recently renamed the “Rock Your Life” tour when the Scorpions guitarist, Rudolf Schenker, signed on to help promote the tour. Rock Your Life is the title of Rudolf Schenker’s recently published autobiography. Along with stories of his life as a rock star, Rudolf encourages the readers of his new book to rock their own lives by pursuing the things that make them happiest; regardless of what others may think or say.

“It’s such an honor to have Rudolf want to get involved with our little tour,” continues Jimmy Ratchitt. “ Kottack is my band—something completely separate from what I do as a member of the Scorpions. But Rudolf Schenker is one of those people who like to champion other people’s success, as well as his own. He doesn’t just preach about rocking your life, he helps you do it!”

Rudolf Schenker is not currently scheduled to perform with v on stage during their upcoming three week European tour but they will be teaming up during various press and radio opportunities to promote both Rudolf’s book and the Kottack and BLOWSIGHT concert tour.
