Halifax, NS-based act LAST CALL CHERNOBYL has released the following update:

“We have an announcement to make regarding the status of Last Call Chernobyl.

Our front man, Kyle, is attending school in PEI in September of this year for Advanced Care Paramedicine. We wish him the best of luck and we all know he'll do great because this is something he is truly passionate about, just like playing metal.

We have been going nonstop for about four to five years now under the LCC name. In that time our music has gotten us farther than we ever thought it would. We've also grown a lot as musicians and people. We have never been stronger and hungrier than we are right now. For these reasons we decided the best approach is to take this as an opportunity.

Starting now Last Call Chernobyl is on a temporary hiatus. During this time we will focus our efforts on writing music. We have a lot of ambitious ideas that have us extremely excited to don the lab coats for a while.

We're not dissolving LCC and Kyle is not leaving the band. We're just taking a break from playing live.

That said, a show may come along that we can't pass up. In this case we have tossed around the idea of a temp vocalist but we agreed unanimously that Kyle will remain in the band.

Rest assured Last Call Chernobyl will return better than ever.”

The band recently released their EP Set Adrift, on D5 Digital / Diminished Fifth Records on Tuesday, July 10th. The song 'Odin' is now available for free download at this location. Listen to the track below:

Tracklisting for Set Adrift is as follows:

'The Frailty Of Ascent'
