Diminished Fifth Records has announced that it will be signing Halifax, NS-based act LAST CALL CHERNOBYL in anticipation of their upcoming release, Drowning Beneath The Sound Of Change.

The album is set to be relased in early summer of this year, in time for the band to go on tour acrros Canada and the US on the 2010 Vans Warped Tour.

Having entered the studio in Januray 2010 at Halifax's Soundmarket Studio Last Call Chernobyl has been hard at work to record their upcoming album and release it in time for their upcoming tour. Being the only loud record label in the East Coast, Diminished Fifth Records has had to work incredibly hard to gain recognition for its music in the region and has garnered itself a reputation as one of the hardest working record labels in Canada.

"D5R is incredibly excited to be working with LCC", commented label-head Josh Hogan. "In addition to being to youngest edition to our growing family they will be the first band to waive the D5R banner in the USA."
"We are stoked to be working with Diminished Fifth Records. It's nothing short of amazing to be able to work with this label considering the amount of credit and respect that D5R has garnered over the years", said guitarist Matt Moulton.

Fellow band mate and Drummer Josh Pellerine commented, "As cool as the past few months have been with all the exciting news, getting the opportunity to sign with Diminished Fifth Records and work with owner Josh Hogan has been the most eye-opening experience I think the band has had thus far, and I truly believe I speak for everyone when I say that."
