LEAVES' EYES Issue Beauty & The Beast Tour Recap - "After A Preventative Vaccination Against Swine Flu, Liv Got An Infection Of Her Vocal Chords As A Side-Effect"

LEAVES' EYES, who recently wrapped up the Beauty & The Beast European tour with ATROCITY, SIRENIA, ELIS and STREAM OF PASSION, have issued the following update:
"It was the vocal chord disease of Liv which caused some turbulence at the beginning of the tour. After a preventative vaccination against swine flu, she got a sore throat and an infection of her vocal chords as a side-effect. In Luxemburg, Liv had to go to the emergency of the local hospital in order to get a treatment with cortisone and an advice to not continuing the tour. Nevertheless, it was decided to continue the tour without cancelling any of the shows. With Atrocity, Sandra Schleret from Elis stepped into the breach for Liv, and she sang all night the Werk 80 duets together with Alex."Atrocity / Leaves' Eyes vocalist Alex Krull comments: “We had a great time on tour even that we had two shows every night, we still had fun on stage. The whole atmosphere on tour was totally relaxed, many thanks to our crew and all the other bands which played with us and did a fabulous job. There were hard times for Liv, who is normally always in good condition. Instead of cancelling and to stop touring for all people involved, she decided to go on. Liv is a great fighter, went on stage and gave everything she could. Respect; not every artist would do the same. Of course she especially was very saddened at this evening in Luxemburg and it would not have been possible without the help and support of the fans!”
"We had a great support with Sandra on stage. Many thanks, Sandy! One of the best moments on tour was in Dordrecht (Netherlands), Liv was visibly in a much better condition again. There were moments which gave us the creeps after all these days of fearing that it could become even worse. The rest of the tour was going neat and in Zlin (Czech Republic) we had a great tour final celebrating with thousands of fans! Now, we are looking forward to the final show of the year, the Christmas Festival at the Rockfabrik Ludwigsburg on the 20.12.2009! We soon will announce more tour activities around the globe for 2010! Stay tuned!"
