BRAND NEW SIN founding member/former guitarist Slider has formed a new band, LEDYARD. As a member of B.N.S., Slider became somewhat of a legend in the metal community, having toured extensively with the likes of DISTURBED, SHADOWS FALL, SOiL and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY.

Ledyard recently completed a new demo, for the track 'Sky Burns Red', and the band are currently playing gigs and shopping the demo for a label deal.

In addition to guitarist Slider, Ledyard's lineup includes: James Lyons (vocals), Chris Pallatto (lead guitar), Johnny Palmer (drums) and Russell (bass).

A press release on the band reads: "Hailing from Syracuse New York Ledyard is unique indeed. This group of brothers and madmen play an original style of southern fried Viking Metal that will appeal to fans of PANTERA, BLS, BLACK SABBATH and Jagermeister! Banded together in December 2006 by Syracuse guitar legend Slider, formally of Brand New Sin and GODBELOW, this maelstrom of rock is a new force on the metal scene to be reckoned with!

The members of Ledyard are five intensely focused individuals with one goal - rock without compromise! Slider’s precision guitar work is responsible for the band's savage rhythms. Lead guitarist Chris Pallatto brings his unique style to fill out Ledyard’s devastating guitar sound. Johnny Palmer’s hard-hitting drums and Russell’s pulse-pounding bass lays the foundation for lead singer James Lyons’ thunderous vocal style which shatters the boundaries established by traditional hard rock front men.

Ledyard’s mindset is not that of your typical hard rock band. The band's members have continually refused to surrender their musical integrity or be shackled to the mainstream definition of modern rock.

Ledyard is on the scene and have set out on a musical path to lay waste to all those who stand in their way, crushing riff after crushing riff! Eager to grow their ever expanding fan base, Ledyard will continue to play tune-up gigs in New York, shop the demo to labels and look to fill a supporting tour spot.

Meet Ledyard...

Slder - guitar/ founding member: Slider is a legend in the industry after performing with bands for over 15 years! Born in Boston MA he moved to Syracuse at the age of 6. Slider was the founding member and primary songwriter for the bands Brand New Sin, Godbelow, The Farthest Man and Blood Runs Black. With his former band’s he toured extensively as a support act with King Diamond, Shadows Fall, Motorhead, BLS, Clutch, Fu Manchu, Soil, Kittie and Disturbed to name a few! He is also a mixed martial artist studying at Lavalle's USA Black Belt Champions—he is currently a blue belt! Slider has a BA in Psychology from LeMoyne College and is currently working towards his MBA at Columbia College which is located on Hancock Airforce Base. But being a professional musician is Slider’s goal. “I can't think of anything cooler to do for a living than playing music, said Slider. It’s my passion but I know how hard it is to make it in the business! It’s like a drug - I just can't stop and I won't.”

James Lyons - singer: James hails from Newark, NY and like’s playing, writing and listening to music. He started playing in bands in 1991 and performed with Vocal Minority, Dropkick, Oblique, When Joy Killed Sorrow, Lack There Of.., Dead Before Dying and the Gates of Angola. His song writing is sometime’s complex due to all the hidden meaning, but it's straight from the heart coming from events that James has lived, seen, or heard! Said James of Ledyard “Our main mission is to be the best at what we do, and take no prisoners. This is a brotherhood of madmen, and I am proud to be in a band of musicians that I can honestly call brothers, my friends!”

Chris Pullatto - guitar: Chris is married and lives’ in Syracuse, NY. He eats’, sleep’s and breathes guitar! He began playing guitar at the age of 7 due the fact that his father was a touring musician. Growing up in a house surrounded by guitars and music meant that he was hooked since day one! After studying guitar in college he began playing in bands in 1995. He has performed with Furious, Panic Stricken, RocSalt, JDB Bands and Stroke. “Ledyard is not just a great band to play for, said Chris. It’s my blood-sweat-heart & soul! Brothers & Madmen Forever!”

Johnny Palmer - drums: Johnny Palmer is married and lives’ in Syracuse, NY. He became interested in music at a very young age - when he heard KISS for the first time he was hooked! He knew then that he wanted to be a musician and got his first drum kit at the age of 12. He was influenced by drummers like Neil Peart, Tommy Lee and Eric Carr. He had been performing with the band Atoxia for 4 years when he got the call to join Ledyard from Slider. “I’ve never been in a band with so much dedication and work ethic. More than that though, we are all best friends. I couldn’t see myself with another band said Johnny. I know this band has what it takes to make it all happen. I’m looking forward to our long adventure together!”

Stephen Russell - bass: Stephen was born and raised in Fulton NY and enjoys horror and kung fu movies, reading and learning new things. But music is his true passion. He has played bass since the age of 13 and studied music with many Syracuse based professional musicians. He started playing in bands in 1996 performing with Undertone, Hatewar, Shattered Human, Lack There Of..., Lucretia Borgia, The Gates of Angola and Hellbender. Said Stephen of Ledyard, “These are my brothers, this is my home and we're taking the fuck over!”
