Greece's Rockpages spoke with MAD MAX guitarist Juergen Breforth in the wake of the band's first live album in 30 years. Here's an excerpt:

Q: Juergen, does the fact that Mad Max celebrates its 30th anniversary play any role in the release of your first ever live album?

A: "No - it's not this kind of anniversary album! It's more or less not an official release... it's for promotion and for our fans that come to see the live shows! A lot of companies are asking us right now to release the "bootleg" officially, but right now we want to keep it as a very special album just for our fans and not an album for the industry!"

Q: Looking at the tracklist, it’s obvious that the vast majority of the songs is cued from the band’s last three studio albums. What made you decide on this track selection and why there weren’t more songs from the 80s albums?

A: "When we did this tour with AXEL RUDI PELL in 2009 we just promoted the Here We Are album and wanted to introduce the new songs to our fans. When you listen to the Mad Max live shows in 2011 you will get more of a "best of" setlist with a lot more songs from the 80s."
