According to a new press release, MidnightCafe Music has put together a special compilation album of UK-born guitarist MARIO PARGA music called Spirit of Night based around the song of the same name and with a dark theme throughout. As well as the title track (including the vocal version released as a single with ex-BLACK SABBATH vocalist Tony Martin) and some material from his solo album Entranced (2007), the album features Mario’s ’Valse Diabolique’ and ‘Hourglass’ that were previously only available from the albums The Alchemists (2001) and Warmth In The Wilderness II (2002) or as individual downloads. Also included is the popular ‘Solo In D’, plus two previously unreleased short keyboard based tracks from Mario’s personal collection; ‘Arpeggios for Shawna’ and ‘Twilight Rose’. ‘Haunted’ and ‘Farewell’ from Entranced were added to keep the album’s theme dark and moody. Best played in the middle of the night. The album is available as a high quality download only, and can be purchased from MidnightCafe Music’s online store at a low compilation album price of $8.99. A new page has been added to the merchandise store for the new signature strap made exclusively by the Los Angeles and Hawaiian Island handmade leather guitar strap company Violet Moon. Photos and order information are included.

The performance is being being filmed in high definition video by Los Angeles based music video director Karpis Maksudian and will be available as a ‘special feature’ doucumentary on the DVD of the video single of one of Mario’s songs that is being recorded by Mario and Graham Bonnet later this year. Part of the footage will be available to view on Mario’s YouTube site. Mario is endorsed by Fishman Acoustic Amplification and uses their Aura Imaging Pedals (nylon guitar) and Matrix Infinity pickups.
