BW&BK; has received the following press release:

Independent label MEI Records has just announced their entrance into a contract with international entertainment distributor Nightmare Records and Distribution. According to the agreement, all MEI artists will receive physical distribution to major markets within the U.S., Canada and Mexico with digital distribution worldwide.

MEI expects their first release, SILENT FATE's Burned, Buried And Forgotten, to go into pre-sale on August 8th.

"This is going to be a huge record for Silent Fate," said John Foxworthy, Director of Media Relations, "Right now metal is on an upward trend and this deal is going to solidify our belief that hard work and persistence really do pay off."

The company is founded and staffed by experienced professionals from all facets of music industry and most services will be kept in-house, including recording, Management, Marketing, A&R; and Press Relations.

"Outsourcing takes control away from a label’s ability to focus on true artist development. We believe that today’s labels don’t put enough time into this, the most important aspect of marketing their product," said Anthony Paganini, Founder and CEO of MEI, "We don’t want to recycle the same crap you hear on the radio all day, so we’re going to be picky about the artists we choose to sign. One thing I can guarantee is that the quality and creativity of our artists will change the face of the recording industry and the way independent music is perceived by everyone in the business."

MEI Records currently hosts two acts and is always accepting submissions. The company philosophy is that music doesn’t need to be dictated by a bureaucratic system designed to use the current trend to seek out and create carbon copies of the top acts.
